BYHEALTH Builds Transparent Factory with "Dedication", Attracting Over A Million Visits in 10 Years

Recently, the topic of “Wall Breaker Duan Yihong” has become popular. In a short video, the Chinese actor Duan Yihong shares his understanding of the “Fourth Wall” in dramas, aiming to get closer to the audience.


 Along with the hot topic, BYHEALTH also attracted much attention. Ten years ago, BYHEALTH opened its transparent factory for public supervision and inspection as an industrial benchmark.

In September 2012, BYHEALTH opened the first “Transparent Factory” in the industry to the general public, realizing "full transparency" in all links including source of materials, manufacturing technique, inspection process, equipment and facilities, storage environment and factory culture. Liang Yunchao delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, "We follow our value of ‘Integrity over Intelligence’. An enterprise in F&B industry always assumes much greater responsibilities. BYHEALTH is cautious with its actions all the time... We make our brand transparent so that our product quality can be supervised and inspected to make consumers feel at ease.”


After the transparent factory is opened to the public, people from all walks of life including industrial professionals, peer companies, Nobel Prize-winning scholars, world champions, stars and artists paid visits in droves, quickly making the factory popular and industrial leading. In the past ten years, more than 1.1 million visitors have left their footprints there at the transparent factory.


 

More Transparency for More Improvements


Transparency may lead to more “copycats”, some people may think. However, Zhang Xuerong, the General Manager of the transparent factory believes that the transparency reflects BYHEALTH’s confidence and thus push it to move forward faster. “It will be a great value for the whole industry if industrial standards can be raised because of the transparency we promote.” In his opinion, what really drives business progress is a whole set of transparent mechanisms. “The development of the industry is encouraging us to advance” and “more improvements mean more results.”

 

After BYHEALTH's transparent factory, more peer companies open their factories for public visits. In the meantime, the vitamin and dietary supplement (VDS) industry in China is also increasing year by year, making sustainable industrial development a reality. With practical actions, BYHEALTH proves that the market will see more development when people's trust of an industry is improved.


As transparent competition becomes normal, BYHEALTH continues to improve and innovate its transparent factory by gradually enabling continuous production, automatic production, IoT-based material, process informatization, electronic recording, real-time inspection, remote equipment operation, unmanned sites, humanized work organization and customized products.



In 2018, BYHEALTH Transparent Factory was awarded as the National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction. In 2019, the Nutrition Exploratorium in the transparent factory was open to the public. Backed by acoustic, optic, electric and other multimedia techniques, it integrates nutrition promotion, health examination, sightseeing sharing and other experiential interactions, enabling the public to have fun in learning nutrition and health knowledge. The Exploratorium is also available for a number of health examinations such as basic index, bone density and mental stress analysis.


In 2021, the more intelligent phase 4 transparent factory was officially put into operation, with a production capacity of 15 billion tablets, 6.6 billion soft capsules, 720 million hard capsules, 500 million bags of powder and 55 million cans of powder.


With the guide of the “science-based nutrition” strategy, BYHEALTH has invested over RMB 10 million in five years to build the fully automatic dry blood spot detection center and develop the first customized vitamin production device equipped with core algorithms in its transparent factory. In 2021, BYHEALTH joined hands with global scientific research institutions and over 100 experts in medicine and nutriology to build databases, evalsuation systems and algorithm model for researches on detections of vitamins, minerals and trace elements in dry blood spot. It also launched customized vitamin concept products.


All in all, a more intelligent and scientific transparent factory is emerging.
